New Roomie, cereal, and sore arms

Well, over the 3 years I have lived at the Sulkirk house I have had a revolving door of roommates. Eden first, then Dawn, then Cori, then Kim, then Dawn again, and now my sweet friend Kendra is moving in this week. We work together and have been friends for about a year so there will be some carpooling going on, and she will have to put up with me and my dorkiness. (I mean really who else gets excited about a sparkingly clean oven and alphabatizing all our DVDs?) I'm excited for her to move in, she would say its because of her Record player, Corn hole set, Nintendo, and movie collection, but really its cause she is awesome, loves Jesus a lot, and is pretty much one of the coolest peeps I know. In an effort to prepare for her to move in I have been doing little things around the house. Sunday, I decided to re-arrange my living room while eating a bowl of cereal. Pushed a huge entertainment center across the room got halfway there and thought, "why am I doing this?"  It was already passed the point of no return. One hour later and two very sore arms it was done. Then proceeded to repaint my coffee table; it looks like milk chocolate. I'm going to ride this new burst of interior design energy as long as I can.

Sand and sun

A week's worth of sun, sand, books, food, and of course the Theis family crammed into the little red cottage. The smells of the ocean air, Fisher's popcorn, and sun tan lotion. Thanks for a great week of bliss Fenwick Island, Delaware until next year.

Favoritest Place Ever

Fenwick Island, Delaware...it is the bestest place and where I have spent every summer of my life. I used to play in the sand box under the back porch of the little blue cottage my grandparents rented. Spending time on the beach and eating fat frog ice cream. It was the bestest.
Now we go to the little red cottage next door and eat Fisher's Popcorn and Oceanside Subs and Crabs...can't ever forget about the crabs. It's magical and it's happening starting tonight...Let the vacation Begin!

App Craze

My current favorite Apps for the iPhone-

Local Concerts-I can find out who is playing in town and it even syncs with my ipod so I can find out if anyone I listen to often is coming.

Bump It-just fun because you have to really interact with someone in order for it to work. Just pull up a picture or contact in the app and bump phones with another iphone user and the information syncs onto their phone. Its like magic!

Concert Vault-Ever thought I really wish I could have seen Stevie Wonder live back in the 70s? With this app you can listen to old live recordings of some of the best musical artists of all time.

Taste Kid-Weird name-awesome app-just type in the name of a book, movie or musical artist and it will suggest other things similar you may like.

Hipstamatic-Its a way to be more creative than just a normal camera. And the pictures look so pretty.

Trip It-Just email your reservation confirmations to plans@tripit.com and the app organizes everything for you in one place and calculates directions to and from destinations.

RATP-This app is going to come in handy when Jen and I are in Paris-it has a map of the Paris Metro and RER system for easy navigation around the City of Lights.

Escargo-A great app to ensure Jen and I don't end up eating something really weird and nasty while in Paris.

London Tube-Similar to the Paris app-It helps navigate the London Tube and tells you how long it will take from point A to point B and which stops to take.

Lingolook French-Great app that includes flash cards for Essential French phrases for when Jen and I don't know how to say "Where is the airport?" in French.
